As well as the switching and certification tools, OSC is able to provide ConCentre. ConCentre is a software system designed to monitor applications running on various computer platforms in a transaction-processing network. Unlike a typical network monitor, ConCentre can be configured to track application-level events, as well as communications activity. ConCentre and its modules detect failures and suspect behaviour in the network and present them in an operationally proficient way so they can be fixed quickly, before service levels are affected. ConCentre collects all of the application monitoring information, making the handling of reported issues extremely accurate and efficient. ConCentre also retains a complete history of all monitoring events, which allows the system to provide detailed analysis and management information.

OSC can confidently say that no similar tool can equal ConCentre in its monitoring of POSH, its links and attached devices. ConCentre has been successfully implemented at several sites with complex environments, monitoring thousands of objects. In one instance a major payment switch uses ConCentre to monitor its network of more than 8,500 ABMs.

TRAFC (Transaction Response code Analyser For ConCentre)

TRAFC is a tool that analyses the transaction behaviour within a network. It examines any transaction-related database in near-real time and looks for behaviours/circumstances that have been configured. If it finds a scenario that matches a set of criteria, it sends an alert to the Server. At that point the Server can manage the resolution of the problem in a number of ways, including the notification of the responsible staff.
